The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Akin, Fogarty, Rustin, and Ward.

Department reports
- Shawn Hayes, Highway Superintendent, gave his water and sewer report.
Business
- Bills dated December 11, 2024, totaling $148,693.87, approved (Rustin · Fogarty · all).
- Budget transfer: increased A1110.4 (Judge Thomas’s expense account) and decreased A1990.4 (contingency) by $900 for seminar expense (Ward · Akin · all).
- Budget transfer: increased DB9050.8 and decreased DB5110.1 by $3,000 for unemployment-insurance cost (Fogarty · Rustin · all).
- Budget transfer: increased SS3-8110.4 and decreased fund balance by $7,000 for a sewer-pump repair in Hemstreet Park (Ward · Akin · all).
- Budget transfer: increased SW2-8310.4 and decreased fund balance by $7,000 for a new master meter (Fogarty · Rustin · all).
- Set the organizational meeting for January 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. (Akin · Ward · all).
- Extended the service agreement with ERCSWMA (the Eastern Rensselaer County Solid Waste Management Authority) (Fogarty · Ward · all).

Public comment
A Pleasantdale resident asked what recourse he has if a noise ordinance cannot be enforced. Town Attorney David Brennan said he can continue to call the Sheriff — the conduct may amount to harassment or disorderly conduct — and should keep a record of the incidents.
