The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty, Rustin, and Ward. Absent: Councilman Akin.

Department reports
- Shawn Hayes, Highway Superintendent, gave his highway, water, and sewer report. Irish Road is now open one lane, for emergency vehicles only.
Business
- Bills dated August 14, 2024, totaling $397,392.36, approved (Fogarty · Ward · all).
- Budget transfer: increased DB5110.4 and decreased fund balance by $10,000 for engineering work on Irish Road (Rustin · Ward · all).
- Budget transfer: increased DB5112.2 by $21,907 for increased CHIPS funding (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Introduced a local law for a noise ordinance (Ward · Rustin · all) and set a public hearing for September 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Reduced the highway garage reserve and increased A5010.4 by $41,400 for the new generator (Fogarty · Ward · all).
- Reduced the highway inventory reserve and increased DB5130.4 by $161,200 for a new boom mower (Rustin · Fogarty · all).
- Passed Local Law No. 4 of 2024, amending the zoning law with respect to battery storage (Fogarty · Ward · all).
