The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Schaghticoke met at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Regular meeting — 7:00 PM
Roll call took place.
Present: Ed McDonough (Chairman), Rich Geddis, and Lettie Saheim. Absent: Kristin Griswold and Jay Shover. Elizabeth Hale, Clerk, was present.
With no quorum of the members who had attended the January 4 or March 2024 meetings, the Board could not approve those minutes; they will be reviewed at the May meeting.
Inquiry — possible solar farm on Fogarty Road
The Chairman relayed an emailed inquiry about the zoning district for property at the lower end of Fogarty Road, from someone interested in the possibility of proposing a solar farm there. No specific site was provided. Chairman McDonough noted that the land on Fogarty Road may lie in the Hamlet District, where large-scale solar facilities are not a permitted use.
