The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Akin, Fogarty, Rustin, and Ward.

Department reports
- Shawn Hayes, Highway Superintendent, gave his water and sewer report.
- John Weir, Dog Control Officer, reported that the current shelter in Cossayuna is a 70-minute round-trip drive, and that the number of dogs he picks up has decreased — he believes because of Facebook postings.
Business
- Bills dated August 9, 2023, totaling $298,575.16, approved (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Accepted a dog-shelter lease agreement with Agway of Brunswick (Akin · Ward · all).
Public comment
Highway Superintendent Shawn Hayes asked about a vacant lot on Sliter Road.
