The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty and Ward. Absent: Councilman Rustin.
The Board accepted the January 11, 2023 minutes (Fogarty · Ward · all). Shawn Hayes, Highway Superintendent, gave his report.
Business
- Bills dated February 8, 2023, totaling $1,540,784.90, approved (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Appointed John Hayes to the Board of Assessment Review, completing the term of Dillon Cail, ending September 2025 (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Accepted Councilman David Akin’s resignation from the Town Board, effective February 1, 2023 (Fogarty · Ward · all).
- Appointed Wayne Bruce Akin to the Town Board, effective March 1, 2023 (Fogarty · Ward · all).
- Appointed Chris Reynolds to the Planning Board to complete Wayne Bruce Akin’s term (Fogarty · Ward · all).
- Authorized Young/Sommer LLC to commence litigation against Al’s Towing and Automotive (Ward · Fogarty · all).
- Set a public hearing for March 8, 2023 on rezoning 40 Hansen Road from Residential to Hamlet (Fogarty · Ward · all).
