On town water? The Water Department still needs a photo of your service line
If your home is on municipal water, the Town of Schaghticoke Water Department needs your help with a standing request: the state and local health departments require the town to document what kind of pipe supplies water to each home — part of a broader effort to identify service-line materials in water systems.
The Water Department first sent letters about this in October 2023, and the request remains open for any resident who hasn’t responded.
What to do — it takes a minute
Take a photo of the water connection inside your home (where the service line enters, usually at the meter or main shutoff), then either:
- Text it to Shawn Cross at 518-461-3350, or
- Email it to waterandsewer@townofschaghticoke.org
Rather have someone else handle it? Shawn will make an appointment to come take the picture himself.
The town posted a sample letter and example photo showing what to capture.
Questions: call 518-753-6915 ext 100, or 518-461-3350.
