A Christmas morning fire heavily damaged a Speigletown home and displaced its two residents in 2023, though no one was hurt.
The Speigletown Fire District responded to a structure fire on Valley View Avenue at 8:08 a.m. on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, Chief Lawrence Funk said. The home suffered significant fire damage on the first floor, and Chief Funk reported no injuries. The fire was investigated by Rensselaer County fire investigators and the Sheriff’s Office, as CBS6 Albany reported.
