A third-prize Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at LaPosta Brothers Market, the neighborhood grocery at 181 Speigletown Road, for the Wednesday, July 22, 2026 drawing, the New York Lottery announced.
The winning numbers were 04 · 05 · 22 · 50 · 58, with a Powerball of 01. A third-prize ticket matches four of the five white balls plus the Powerball.
So somewhere out there — quite possibly in the hamlet — is a $50,000 ticket. If you played Wednesday’s drawing, dig it out and check it. A few practical notes for whoever’s holding it:
- Sign the back of the ticket right away — a lottery ticket is a bearer instrument until it’s signed.
- Prizes of this size are claimed through the New York Lottery’s claim process, not at the counter.
- New York draw-game prizes can be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.
However it plays out, it’s a nice bit of luck for a familiar neighborhood stop — LaPosta Brothers is the hamlet’s corner market on Speigletown Road, and you’ll find it in our local directory.

Staff at LaPosta Brothers tell us it’s the largest lottery prize sold at the market to date — and the winner is still a mystery. They’re as curious as everyone else to find out who’s holding the ticket.
