Lansingburgh fall sports: registration is open, so sign up before the whistle

The other half of Speigletown’s back-to-school news: registration is open for Lansingburgh’s Fall 2026 sports, and the district is asking families to get it done as soon as possible. An athlete has to be cleared before the season starts, and clearance takes as long as it takes. The district calendar lists the registration window as running through September 5, so this is a this-week errand.

This fall’s lineup

• Cross Country (Modified & Varsity)
• Football (Modified, JV & Varsity)
• Golf (Varsity)
• Boys & Girls Soccer (Modified, JV & Varsity)
• Girls Volleyball (Modified, JV & Varsity)
• Unified Bocce

That last one deserves a word. Unified Sports is the Special Olympics program that puts students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. Same roster, same jersey, same season. Lansingburgh students in grades 9 to 12 can join, and if you’ve never watched a Unified match, it’s the best sportsmanship you’ll see all year, at any level.
