Field of Horrors rebuilt after its July fire and is open for the season, with two new haunts

On the night of July 20, an electrical fire tore through Field of Horrors, the haunted attraction at 100 Farrell Road that has been Speigletown’s biggest seasonal draw for years. By the time firefighters had it out, three of the five walk-through haunts were gone.

Ten weeks is not much time to rebuild a business whose entire year happens in October. They did it anyway. According to Haunted Attraction Network, the industry site that follows these things, Field of Horrors opened for the 2026 season on schedule with two brand-new attractions, “Night Stalkers” and “Panic at Pinewoods,” built on the footprint of what burned, alongside the two haunts that survived.

For the neighbors, that means the fall rhythm returns: lines of headlights turning off Route 40 onto Farrell Road on Friday and Saturday nights, cars parked along the shoulder, and the occasional scream carrying across the fields on a still night. The attraction’s own website and social pages have nights, hours and ticket prices; they change week to week in October, so check before you go.

It is a good story for the hamlet. A summer fire that could have ended a local business instead produced a rebuilt one, and the fire companies that answered the July call will see the busy nights from the roadside again.
