Nick Cuttleback — area variance, 195 Stillwater Bridge Road
Nick Cuttleback appeared to propose a 12′ × 28′ addition to his single-story home (28 feet to the peak) in an RA district at 195 Stillwater Bridge Road, comprising a 12′ × 12′ mudroom and a 12′ × 16′ three-season porch; the driveway, currently on the neighbor’s property line, would be relocated within his parcel. Mr. Cuttleback explained that the trapezoid-shaped property meets all setbacks except on the westerly side, where he believes he needs a one-foot side-yard area variance. He submitted an application by email to Chairman McDonough and consulted Building Inspector Scott Frisino by phone; he plans to submit the fee to the Town Clerk. (Mr. Cuttleback withdrew this application at the September meeting.)
Other business — Turner Road drainage
Chairman McDonough reported on flooding on Turner Road, where an inadequate culvert sends an overabundant flow of water that collects and floods between two residential properties. He contacted Highway Superintendent Shawn Hayes and Town Supervisor Tim Salisbury; there was no response from the Highway Superintendent, but after the Chairman provided the Supervisor with the affected addresses and notified the residents that he had reached out, the Town moved within about two days to design a plan to remedy the matter.
Adjournment
Ed McDonough moved to adjourn at 7:13 p.m.; Jay Shover seconded. Ayes: McDonough, Geddis, Saheim, Shover · Nays: None.
Respectfully submitted by Elizabeth Hale, Clerk. Minutes dated September 6, 2025.
