The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session on July 9, 2025 at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury; Councilmen Akin, Fogarty, Rustin, and Ward.
Approval of prior minutes

Reports from department heads
- Chris Kelly, Town Historian, reported she was at the Hoosick Falls Heritage Fair in May, sharing a booth with the Knickerbocker Mansion. She continues to write her column in the Express, currently about the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, and has given several local lectures on Schaghticoke in the Revolution.
- Shawn Hayes, Highway Superintendent, gave his highway, water, and sewer report.

Public comment — Village land matter
A land surveyor presented a project in the Village for George Hansen, on the parcel next to the old Town Garage.
Motion. To have Town Attorney David Brennan work on selling 1/10 of an acre to George Hansen to resolve the matter. Resolution: Rustin · Second: Fogarty · Ayes: All · Nays: None.
