The Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke met in regular session on January 8, 2025 at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Supervisor Salisbury; Councilmen Akin, Fogarty, Rustin, and Ward.
Approval of prior minutes

Reports from department heads
- Chris Kelly, Town Historian, gave a report on the range of things she does as Town Historian.
- Scott Frisino, Building Inspector, Code Enforcement, and Stormwater Manager, discussed updating current fees, possible additional funding for MS4 work, and following up on pursuing code violations.
Financial

2024 budget transfers.
- To reduce the reserve in Water District #1 by $20,000 — SW1-8310.1 by $1,400 and SW1-8310.4 by $18,600. Resolution: Fogarty · Second: Ward · Ayes: All · Nays: None.

Appointment — Planning Board

Public comment
- Lynn Hardy, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church and Community Life Support, came to discuss a vision for a community center for the Schaghticoke area.
- Frank Alessandrini, Planning Board Chairman, noted that subdivisions, special-use permits, and solar farms are slowing down, and that the fee schedule is very old and may also need to be reviewed.
