Minutes of the Town Board, Town of Schaghticoke — March 9, 2022, at 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, NY. The Board met in regular session at 6:30 p.m. Present were Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Akin, Fogarty, and Ward. John Rustin was absent.

Reports from department heads
Chris Kelly, Town Historian, distributed information for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend Field of Honor program at Hoosic Valley Central School, where flags can be ordered for the field-of-honor display on the football field infield, with proceeds benefiting patriot flights. She also reported that when the Hoosac Valley Farmers Exchange changed hands she was able to retrieve some records dating back to the 1920s and will work with the County Historian to catalog them.

Public comment
Town Historian Chris Kelly asked how the town would spend its ARPA money. Supervisor Salisbury said the town is choosing a few things at a time and has until 2024 to use the funds; some has been spent on the water pump station, pump station communications, and continuing to upgrade non-electronic water meters to be read electronically.
