Regular meeting of the Town Board, Town of Schaghticoke — September 8, 2021, held at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, at 6:30 p.m. Present were Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty, Rustin, and Westhead. Councilman Akin was absent.

Business

  • Town Clerk’s bills from the Scheduled Payment Report of September 8, 2021, totaling $146,203.43, approved (Fogarty · Rustin — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
  • Budget transfers per attached list (Fogarty · Rustin — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
  • Authorize Judge Arnold to apply for a grant of up to $2,000 for a defibrillator from the Justice Court Assistance Program (Westhead · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
  • NY State Retirement (NYSLRS) standard workday resolution approved (Rustin · Westhead — Ayes: all; Nays: none).

Public comment

  • A resident thought the defibrillator would be good to have in the Town Hall for all departments.
  • A resident asked whether anything could be done about speeding on his road and about fill being deposited along Route 40 behind his house. Supervisor Salisbury said he would speak with the Sheriff’s Office about the speeding and check with code enforcement officer Brian Davidson about the fill.
