Regular meeting of the Town Board, Town of Schaghticoke — August 11, 2021, held at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, at 6:30 p.m. Present were Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty, Rustin, and Westhead. Councilman Akin was absent.
Greg Samilo of CS Energy gave a presentation on solar energy and a new solar project proposed between Route 40 and Verbeck Avenue.

- Town Historian Chris Kelly discussed the book Schaghticoke, New York: A Nineteenth Century Mill Town, produced in connection with the archaeological dig required before the new bridge over the dam in the Village; a few copies are at the Town Hall, and the NYS Museum can be contacted for copies.
- Highway Superintendent Shawn Hayes gave his highway, water, and sewer report.

- Town Clerk’s bills from the Scheduled Payment Report of August 11, 2021, totaling $773,376.49, approved (Westhead · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
- Budget transfer increasing A1670.4 and decreasing A1990.4 by $1,000 for a new copier (Rustin · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
- Budget transfer increasing SW2-8320.4 and decreasing fund balance by $20,000 for increased water use in the campground (Westhead · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
New business
- Purple Heart Town resolution — for the Town to become a Purple Heart Town, with signs to be placed at four entrances to the town (Rustin · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
