Town Historian Chris Kelly gave a brief history of the old Willow Tea Room restaurant, located on Speigletown Road near Brickyard Road, where there had been a recent fire.
Business
- Town Clerk’s bills from the Scheduled Payment Report of January 13, 2021, totaling $435,386.77, approved (Akin · Westhead — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
- Acknowledge changes with the New York Liquid Asset Fund (NYLAF) (Rustin · Fogarty — Ayes: all; Nays: none).
- Move $20,000 from the Solid Waste District reserve to appropriation code SR8160.4 because of the year’s increased tonnage (Akin · Fogarty).
Public comment
Larry Funk introduced himself to the Board as the new Fire Chief in Speigletown. Councilman Westhead noted that Chief Funk is also a successful grant writer for the Speigletown Fire Company.
