Office of the Town Board, Town of Schaghticoke — Annual Organizational Meeting, January 2, 2020, at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, NY, at 6:00 PM. Present were Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty, Rustin, and Westhead. Councilman Akin was absent.

Organizational details
- Meetings: second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM at the Town Hall, except the November meeting, which (in honor of Veterans Day) will be Thursday, November 12th. Bill-signing work sessions begin at 6:00 PM, and a workshop is held at 6:30 PM on the fourth Thursday of the month.
- Depository: M&T Bank.
- Official newspaper: The Record and the Express, with public notices also on the official town website and the town hall posting board.
- Salaries were set for elected positions (Supervisor $28,390; four Councilpeople at $6,945; Judge Arnold $10,740; Judge Thomas $11,920; Highway Superintendent $64,216; Town Clerk $41,820; Tax Collector $6,245) and for appointed positions and Highway Department, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals roles, plus the Registrar of Vital Statistics.
- Water district buy-in fees (2020): #1, #2, #3 at $1,600; #3e $5,000; #4b $4,420; #5 $4,012; #6 $5,000. Sewer district buy-in fees: #1 $1,600; #2 $3,298; #3 $4,919.
- Miscellaneous: the Highway Superintendent may make emergency purchases up to $500 without Supervisor authorization for the Highway and Water and Sewer Departments; purchase orders are required for purchases of $500 or more; per diem travel mileage is set at the current New York State rate, with meal allowances of $10 breakfast, $10 lunch, and $30 dinner for pre-approved conferences/meetings.
