Town Board of the Town of Schaghticoke — regular session, June 12, 2019, 6:30 PM, Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose. Present: Supervisor Salisbury and Councilmen Fogarty, Rustin, and Westhead. Councilman Akin was absent.

Highway Superintendent Shawn Hayes gave his highway and water/sewer report.
New business
Supervisor Salisbury reported that Scott Frisino signed up for building courses in August, and that Eden Renewables would hold a public informational meeting about a proposed solar farm site in the town on June 19 from 3–7 PM at the Town Hall.
Public comment
A resident from Pleasantdale spoke about drivers speeding on Belrade Street to avoid speed bumps on surrounding streets. A resident from Sherman Hill Road raised concern about water collecting due to past paving. Highway Superintendent Shawn Hayes said both areas are scheduled for paving this year, which should address the problems.
Councilman Jim Westhead thanked the fire companies for the controlled burn of a condemned house and noted that William Maloney of the Speigletown Fire Company is the New York State Fire Chief of the Year.
