Zoning Board of Appeals, Town of Schaghticoke — Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose. The meeting opened at 7:35 PM with roll call.
Present: Ed McDonough (Chairman), Lettie Saheim, Jason Shover. Absent: Rich Geddis, Kristin Griswold. Deputy Town Attorney Kristin Pratt and Clerk Elizabeth Hale were present.
Regular meeting
Because there was no quorum of members who had also attended the June 2018 meeting, the Board could not consider or approve the June 7, 2018 minutes; they will be reviewed at the August meeting.
The Chairman reported no applications had been submitted, but noted four phone calls since June. Three, from concerned residents, concerned construction across from the intersection of Milky Way and NYS Route 40; Planning Board Chairman Frank Alessandrini reported that the property owner is creating a driveway between two residences to reach his property behind the houses fronting Route 40.
The Chairman also received a complaint from a caller who would not identify herself, stating that someone had recently purchased property on Akin Road where three horses were being kept; the caller could not answer follow-up questions. No action was taken other than speaking with the Building Inspector.
Adjourned at 7:43 PM (Saheim · Shover — Ayes: McDonough, Saheim, Shover; Nays: none). Respectfully submitted by Elizabeth Hale, Clerk.
